Hi all!
For the first blog ever I wanted to bring to the spotlight a small town baker, Christina, the owner of Macarons by Christina.
Christina as a Metro Detroit Native, and very fittingly, works at Nissan. She is a self taught Macaron Baker, and has a real talent for it! Christina makes and sells small orders, check out her Instagram handle for more info (macaronbychristina).
The variety pack featured on my Instagram had 5 wonderful flavors. Fruity Pebble, Ferrero Rocher, Pistachio Creme, Vanilla, and Cake Batter. Christina's macarons are well balanced, the shells aren't invasive to the buttercream flavor, and provide the same profile as the creme. Her buttercream is spot on to the intended flavor, unlike most macarons i've had. The flavors taste just like Fruity Pebbles or Ferrero Rocher, while still conforming to the butter cream template that a good macaroon needs.
