Donuts, cheesecake, cookie dough, cinnamon rolls, and cookies; sounds like a diet of a contestant on The Biggest Loser, but thankfully, it can be a part of a healthy diet. So what the heck am I talking about. That sentence is the menu of a new bakery in Dearborn, MI: Cheat Treats. Cheat Treats makes your takes the most cardinal of diet sins, and makes them healthy, and manageable for any diet. Cheat Treats uses all natural sugar replacements, and instills a good amount of protein in every one of their items!
I've been two times in under a month, because the treats are too good, and too healthy to pass up. Being an avid lifter, and moderately health conscious individual, I always try to get and make protein replacements for my sweet tooth. Unfortunately, everything I make or buy still has that protein after taste, or too much of a chemical flavor. Don't get me wrong, these goods certainly serve their purpose in ones diet, but they leave you wanting that wholesome satisfaction that comes from eating things that are horrible for you. Luckily, Cheat Treats has achieved just that, the original taste, texture and smell of all the best desserts, without being packed with refined sugar and fat! Pictured above are some of the baked goods I've had there, my favorite: the Smores Cookie Dough. Its like tearing open a raw Toll house bag and going to town. Beyond that, the donuts are fresh, fluffy and delicious. Cheesecake comes just as spongy and sweet as the regular New York style, and the cinnamon rolls are rich and flaky, just like Cinnabon. There's really nothing left to say, you gotta go try Cheat Treats!
